Who We Are

Brave Ubi is a family of Jesus-followers who live, work, and serve in Ubi. We are employers and employees, business owners and NGO leaders, residents and neighbors. We may go to different churches on Sundays, but from Monday to Saturday we share one homeground: Ubi.

We believe God has placed us here so that Ubi can become a "kingdom city within the city" of Singapore. When we say "kingdom," we mean the real and practical expression of Jesus' rule in our everyday lives. In our offices and shops, in industrial blocks and coffee shops, in homes and activity centers, we want people in Ubi to taste something of heaven's love, justice, creativity, and hope.

A church in Ubi, across many churches

Brave Ubi is not a new Sunday service or a new brand of church. We are the church in Ubi because:

We confess Jesus as Lord

We confess Jesus as Lord and want Him to be known and loved here.

We gather in relationships

We gather in relationships, not just in meetings, to listen to God and to one another.

We see God at work

We see our workplaces, homes, and streets as places where God's presence is already at work.

We are one body

We belong to different congregations, but we recognise one another as part of the same body of Christ in this place.

In other words, on Sundays we scatter into different buildings, but in Ubi we come together as one church in Christ.

What we want to do together

As Brave Ubi, we desire to:

Love Jesus together

Pray for Ubi, worship, and listen to the Holy Spirit together, seeking God's heart for this place.

Love one another

Support and encourage each other as employers, employees, business owners, NGO workers, and residents. Carry one another's burdens and celebrate one another's wins.

Do good in Ubi

Start and support good works and good businesses that bless Ubi. Look for practical ways to serve seniors, families, workers, and the vulnerable. Build partnerships between companies, NGOs, and neighbors for the common good.

Witness to the kingdom

Live and work in a way that points to Jesus. Show that business, community work, and everyday life can all be worship when done in love and obedience to Him.

Our simple conviction

The primary question that shapes Brave Ubi is this: How can we truly be the church in Ubi, even though we come from different church groups?

Our answer is simple, though not always easy. By loving Jesus together, loving one another deeply, and joining hands to seek the good of Ubi, we become a visible expression of the body of Christ right here.

This is Brave Ubi.

A kingdom city within the city, where ordinary believers live out a shared call: to see God's kingdom come, His will be done, in Ubi as it is in heaven.
